Project Spotlight: Holland Park Transitional Family Home

The new build journey from start to finish is a long process and can take months, if not years from initial selections to locking the door on a completed home. This beautiful home we completed the interior design selections for by Leading Edge Constructions was recently brought to life in Holland Park. The home blends traditional elements with contemporary features to create the perfect balance of transitional style. The unique thing about this home is the floor plan which is expansive and surrounds a large pool in the centre of the home. Let’s have a look at some of my favourite spaces and elements of this beautiful home!

The kitchen is one of my favourite’s we have ever designed, and I love so many elements that bring this one together. For starters, the statement island bench brings wow factor to the space, and your eye can’t help but be drawn to its grandeur. I also love the traditional shaker style doors, butler’s sink, large freestanding cooker and classic handles that help balance the contemporary aspects of the kitchen.

Another one of my favourite rooms in this home is the laundry. If you’ve been following Eliza Grace Interiors for a while you’ll know that I love a statement laundry floor and it’s something I often select for a new build to bring a bit of fun into a room that is otherwise quite mundane and let’s be honest ‘boring’. This checkerboard floor is such a statement, and I love the unexpected wow factor it brings to the flow of the downstairs area.

Sticking to a colour palette of warm timbers, soft creamy whites, subtle brass and contrasting black throughout the home feels contemporary yet classic. The theme is carried through both the ground floor and upper floor areas and seen in cabinetry, bathroom tiles, splashbacks and paint colours throughout.
