My All Time Favourite Coffee Table Books

One of my favourite things to collect when it comes to home décor is coffee table books. I am a huge book lover to begin with, anything from fiction to biographies to wellness and health. I am the type of person that will sit and read every page of a coffee table book and soak in not only the pictures, but the words as well. They are a great talking point for your guests and create the perfect home décor piece that reflects your personality and style. Below are some of my favourite coffee table books that I have collected over the years and find myself flicking through time and time again.

Absolutely Beautiful Things by Anna Spiro

This beautiful book is by one of my favourite Brisbane based Interior Designers that has been bringing me inspiration for years and years. Absolutely Beautiful Things covers everything regarding the creation of Black & Spiro Design, establishing your sense of style, projects by Anna Spiro and info about different fabrics and wallpaper. The book’s imagery is simply breathtaking, and I often find myself flicking through this book to be inspired by the patterns and colours that fill the pages. This book has been in my collection for about 5 years now and it proudly still sits on display.

New York In Bloom by Georgianna Lane

As a huge New York fan and an avid flower lover, this book is me in a nutshell. New York In Bloom showcases Georgia’s beautiful photographs she has taken around New York City. From blue hydrangeas on Bleeker street to flowering cherry blossom tress in Central Park. The detailed shots and sheer range of flowers pictured invite you to stare at this book in awe for an unreasonable amount of time. I would love to add Georgia’s other book ‘Paris In Bloom’ to my collection as I’m sure it is just as wonderful!

Indoor Jungle by Lauren Camilleri & Sophia Kaplan

The newest edition to my coffee table book collection is Indoor Jungle by the founders of Leaf Supply and it was love at first sight. Not only is this book gorgeous to look at, it is packed with amazing information regarding plants and gardening. My partner laughed at me as I read every single page, taking notes and photos like I was studying for a plant exam. If this book doesn’t make you want to fill your abode with lush plants and run to your local nursery, I don’t know what will.

Adore by Adore Home Magazine

This book is the ultimate in interior goals wrapped in one neat little golden bundle. I have been a fan of Adore Magazine for years and read the magazine, blog and follow along on Instagram religiously. This book came out a few years ago now, but still acts as a source of interior inspiration for me. It is filled with brightly coloured rooms and plenty of interior design tips and tricks. Adore showcases the homes of some of Australia’s designers and creatives and who doesn’t love having a peek inside someone elses home!?

Volez Voguez Voyagez by Louis Vuitton

This book not only looks great, has so much history and inspiration, but also holds a special place in my heart. We received this book as a farewell gift when we moved home from New York in 2017 from our dear friends. The Louis Vuitton exhibition of the same name was showing in New York at the time and I absolutely loved it! It details the history of Louis Vuitton and how luggage and bags have developed over the years. This book currently still sits pride of place on my coffee table and I can’t see it moving from there anytime soon.

Fashion House by Megan Hess

I have been obsessed with Megan Hess’ work for the past 15 years and this book is no exception. Fashion House came out in 2013 and Megan has had many books since then, but this one remains my favourite. Fashion House includes pages upon pages of gorgeous fashion illustrations that include fabulous interiors and catwalk-like humans stylishly living in their abodes. Megan uses an amazing array of colours throughout the book and it is still a great source of inspiration to this day. I was lucky enough to meet Megan Hess at a book signing and I can confirm she is just as fabulous and lovely in person.
