Crisp Greenery Master Bedroom Makeover
We recently designed a master bedroom for a lovely young couple that were looking for a change and freshen up in their home. The brief was to create a room that reflected both of their styles and to avoid anything too feminine as this is a space they share equally. They wanted a space that felt light and bright and that they could enjoy spending quality time together in. The big ticket furniture items such as the bed, bedside tables and tallboy were the client’s own and we added the finishing touches and styling.
Here is the initial moodboard for design and product inspiration:
The scheme we came up with was a bright white and green colour pallet with neutral and timber touches. Texture was added through cushions and throw blankets to create interest and movement throughout. Two art prints above the bed create a focal point and add a pop of colour to an otherwise neutral space. The green tones were then brought down into the decorative cushions on the bed and feature in various homewares throughout.
The Master Bedroom is always a balancing act when trying to create a space that isn’t too masculine or feminine. By sticking to neutrals and introducing a feature colour such as green or blue the space can become cohesive and gender neutral. The clients are very happy with the relaxing and comfortable feel of their new Master bedroom and look forward to the many dreamy night’s sleep ahead.
