From runway to room: Glen Plaid

I have been a lover of fashion and interiors as long as I can remember. Although they are completely different industries I think they reflect eachother and we see trends come and go in both areas. Often trends that walk down the runway of a fashion show in spring, we see pop up in homewares stores the next year. Through this series entitled ‘From Runway to Room’ we will be dissecting what the current fashion trends are and attempt to be ahead of the curb in interiors.

The first trend we are shining a light on is Glen Plaid or Prince of Wales Check. We saw it on the runways a while back and now it is in just about EVERY women’s and men’s clothing store! Think 90’s Clueless mixed with a sleek New York businessman. This classic print works well with bold colours but can also be paired with all black for a more refined look. See below the interior finds that replicate this of-the-moment print.

Mid-century round stool, Ohio cushion natural, Jazz fur round cushion, Mohair throw, Retro fabric armchair, Anthony Shapiro mug, Mercer and Reid throw, Black and white plaid cushion.
